The Sunset Project is thrilled to announce Kristy Schulze, CPA, as the newest member of its Board of Directors!
Kristy Schulze CPA is a magna cum laude graduate of Baker College of Flint, where she attended on a partial academic scholarship, attaining a Bachelor of Business Administration-Accounting degree.
After working at a local public accounting firm for the required internship period, Kristy passed the Certified Public Accountant exam and became a board-certified CPA in the State of Michigan. Kristy went on to work as a business manager for a heavy construction, concrete, and equipment company for 6 years.
With the skillset attained by managing a fast-paced construction company, Kristy decided to return to public accounting in August of 2006. She is a founding member of the firm and remains the managing partner at the firm of Schulze Oswald Miller & Edwards PC, with two offices in Northern Michigan.
The firm proudly serves various niche markets, including not for profit and governmental auditing, construction contractors, veterinarian clinics, as well as small business and individual tax planning and preparation. Kristy is a member of the AICPA, the MICPA and the Governmental Audit Quality Center.
The Sunset Project is looking forward to Kristy and her professional expertise joining the team, with the hope that her skills will allow the organization to continue to grow its reach across Northeast Michigan!
